Free lance journalist, survivalist, big game archery hunter,
sportsman, small aircraft pilot, gun collector, long time mountain search and
rescue team member, career outdoorsman, Tony Bochene describes himself as; “A
self prescribed social mutant who has simply refused to evolve. A caveman,
skillfully pretending to be a civilized human being.”
Mr. Bochene has been an award winning outdoor writer and
photojournalist for over 30 years, specializing in adrenaline sports and
mountaineering expeditions. When it comes to foreign romance he not only talks
the talk but he definitely walks the walk. Over thirty years ago he flew to the
Philippines to marry a young Filipina mail order bride he knew for only five
days, to rescue her from the crumbling Marcos regime because he thought her
country would fall to the communists.
